Organizational Summary

The American Indian OIC is a community-based workforce development organization committed to supporting American Indians and others in the Twin Cities to fulfill their education, complete career training, gain employment and advance in their career pathway.

AIOIC operates an alternative high school, and accredited post-secondary institute, a recognized ABE/GED consortium, and employment services under the “Takoda” brand. Takoda was launched in the spring of 2018 to reach a broader range of individuals in need of training and job placement.

Summary

The American Indian OIC is looking for a professional to fill the role of Recruitment Marketing Specialist to promote Takoda’s services and increase enrollment. The Recruitment Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating effective recruitment pipelines through lead generation and management, creating and maintaining effective marketing systems, and executing marketing strategies. A successful candidate will be integral in building brand awareness, increasing enrollment, and creating effective strategies that promote the long-term growth of Takoda.

 

Responsibilities

 

Recruitment Tasks

  • Develop relationships with community organizations; share training and service opportunities with organization contacts
  • Assist in the creation and management of the lead process
  • Coordinate effective lead generation and management; ensure leads are contacted within 24 hours of first point of contact
  • Support recruitment team; ensure they have updated marketing materials and effective recruitment supplies
  • Prospect and organize events for community outreach and brand awareness

Marketing Systems & Processes

  • Design and implement a marketing request system to streamline agency requests
  • Propose yearly marketing budget with deliverables to leadership
  • Communicate with department directors to assess their enrollment needs, and recommend marketing solutions to satisfy enrollment needs
  • Create and maintain comprehensive marketing calendar including agency events, enrollment periods, fundraising events, and other events as needed
  • Develop and communicate marketing plans, campaign results and project recommendations to leadership team

Marketing Tasks

  • Respond to and carry out marketing requests in a timely manner
  • Create and maintain social media calendar
  • Execute paid digital campaigns, monitor results, and analyze data to determine campaign efficiency
  • Update email marketing lists
  • Create consistent and effective multi-faceted campaigns
  • Perform market research to understand target market
  • Monitor Google Analytics and analyze data
  • Maintain website accuracy through regular updates
  • Write and distribute press releases as necessary
  • Write and develop content for success stories, newsletters, and other print and digital publications
  • Work with department directors to develop content for new trainings and services
  • Create marketing materials and print collateral, work with graphic designer and manage project as applicable
  • Ensure all community-facing documents and marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and undergo regular review
  • Photograph agency events, staff headshots, graduations, and in classrooms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in a marketing role
  • Proficiency in paid digital advertisement platforms (e.g. Facebook Ads Manager, Google PPC)
  • Proficiency in MailChimp or other email marketing platform
  • Basic graphic design skills and ability to follow brand standards
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suites
  • Expert in social media platforms and best practices
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt quickly
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience or interest working in the non-profit sector
  • Experience or interest in learning about different cultural communities
